Bartels Environmental Services Inc. (BESI) is searching for a talented and knowledgeable Pump Operator to assist with fertilizer and application, lagoon maintenance, pumping, and tank cleanouts using our diversified fleet of equipment.

We manage all aspects of the process from material acquisition to transportation, to land application, developing and implementing efficient and effective solutions for all parties

JOB DETAILS:
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Starting Wage: $20-22 / Hour + Retirement Savings Plan + paid vacation time

Primary Location: London, ON
REQUIREMENTS:
- G Class Driver’s License, maintaining a clean driver’s abstract.
- Capable of performing labour-intensive jobs including exposure to seasonal weather, and work areas that are dirty, dusty, wet and noisy.
- Flexible with scheduling and the ability to take part in the rotating weekend and holiday schedule. Willing to work until the task is complete, which can require longer hours from time to time.
- Willing to load/unload trucks, spread material, and operate farm equipment.
- Periodic travel
WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WITH:
- prior experience assisting with heavy machinery, including farm, and pumping equipment in an agricultural environment.
- familiarity with Non-agricultural source materials (NASM) application
- ability to operate hydraulic pumps during the land application process.
- a dependable and eager temperament, the ability to stand for extended periods of time with some heavy lifting. Must be able to work outside in all weather.
- a safety mindset; able to promote and comply with BESI’s Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Management policies, procedures and controls
