Hydrovac Operator (AZ/DZ Driver)

Super Sucker is searching for talented and knowledgeable Hydrovac Operators to perform debris removal, trenching, digging, and excavation around underground utilities using our diversified fleet of trucks.

JOB DETAILS:

Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Starting Wage: $35–$42 + Premiums as per collective agreement
Benefits: Union benefits including retirement savings, health, dental, vision, life insurance, etc after probation
Primary Location: Hazelhurst Yard (648 Hazelhurst Rd, Mississauga, ON)

REQUIREMENTS

• DZ class driver’s license, maintaining a clean driver’s abstract.
• Willing to travel up to 25% based on project assignment needs.
• Required to become a member of IUOE local 793
• Capable of performing labour-intensive jobs including exposure to seasonal weather, and work areas that are dirty, dusty, wet and noisy.
• Able/willing to work flexible hours, including Monday – Friday, overtime, weekends, and short notice work as needed.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO:

• Enjoy the safe and successful completion of hydrovac excavation work, and various other tasks, including personal administrative tasks, connected to construction projects.
• Can operate and drive hydrovac trucks and perform hydrovac excavation work safely
• Have previous experience with vacuum trucks, swamping, coring, and/or slingers, and especially looking for those with volumetric concrete mixing experience.
• Punctual, prepared for the day with PPE, training and a client focused, team player mindset.
• Attends safety meetings and ensures all tasks are completed in a safe and thorough manner.
• Ensure the truck and equipment are well-maintained and in good working condition by being respectful in their use and being in good communication about issues as they arise.
• Able to work in a collaborative environment as an active contributor to team success.
