Industrial Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The Industrial Maintenance Technician supports the day-to-day operations of the mechanical shop by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment and providing hands-on assistance to the technician team. This role assists with the efficiency and safety of the shop by inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining shop tools, equipment and systems including hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics. This role performs general cleaning, organization, parts support and yard maintenance duties. This role contributes to a professional work environment and supports the team of professionals who service the critical fleet vehicles.

KEY RESPONSIBITLIES

• Assist with maintaining inventory and parts areas and ensuring tools and equipment are returned to proper locations.
• Perform general yard maintenance duties such as sweeping, organizing materials, and assisting with seasonal upkeep.
• Assist technicians with general labor tasks, such as lifting and assisting with heavy work and work on equipment, as directed.
• With the support of the Technicians, this role will assist with the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment in the shop, including moving and setting up equipment as required.
• Conduct basic maintenance tasks as directed, including pressure washing and refueling of equipment.
• Follow all safety policies, signage, and procedures within the shop and yard environments.
• Support technicians and other shop staff as needed by assisting with physical tasks, tool delivery, or setup.
• Provide excellent customer service as you represent the Ox Equipment brand.
• Follow all legislation and health and safety regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1- 2 years previous experience in shop environment is an asset.
• Some experience with electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics maintenance and repair is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s License required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Good communication and the ability to take direction and follow through.
• Safety-first mindset with a positive and cooperative attitude.
• Ability to stand, walk and crouch for extended periods.

SCHEDULE & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Regular full-time schedule is Monday – Friday, daytime hours.
• Work primarily in shop environment and outdoor yard.
• Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and hazardous materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
• Physically able to lift, move, and carry heavy tools and materials up to 50 lbs.
