310T Licensed Mechanic. – Sign On $3,000 bonus

About the Role

Ox Fleet Care is looking for a certified 310T Mechanic (Truck & Coach Technician) to join our growing team. Located only 16 minutes from Cambridge, 22 minutes from Hamilton and 26 minutes from Brantford.

You’ll perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections on our fleet of Hydrovac and suction excavation trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong diagnostic skills who takes pride in quality workmanship, teamwork, and safety.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday Dayshift and Afternoon shifts available (no rotating of shifts)

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and vacuum systems on heavy trucks and Hydrovacs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections in accordance with MTO and OEM standards.
• Troubleshoot issues with fleet vehicles, including Western Star, Peterbilt, and Kenworth units.
• Communicate effectively with team members, foremen, and the Service Advisor to minimize downtime.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Mentor apprentices and support a positive, respectful shop culture.

What You Bring

• Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License (required)
• Experience with Hydrovac or hydraulic systems (preferred)
• Cummins or Detroit engine experience (asset)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, scan tools, and repair information systems
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time-management skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism
